Uncovering the little rock in Little Rock

I am always glad to see Arkansas getting national exposure, particularly for something like this article about our capitol. If you ever wondered how Little Rock got its name, which I don’t recall being covered in our Arkansas History course in junior high, now you’ll know and soon have a park to visit to learn more.

The transformation of downtown Little Rock from what it was a decade or so ago to what it is today should be a source of pride to all Arkansans. Improving the core of our cities as Little Rock has gives a sense of place to those born there, and creates an area that tourists want to come back to because they feel comfortable and safe. The positive associations by natives and visitors alike encourage new residents and new businesses. Judging by Central Arkansas’ success in attracting new business lately, it’s working.
