Dark and Icy

Sorry for the slow week of posting so far. The Great Arkansas Ice Storm of ’09 has kept me without power for a couple of days. To the right is a picture of my cul-de-sac in Fayetteville. Also, I can confirm that gas fireplaces without blowers are virtually useless for generating heat.new-image1

Given the number of trees that are down in my backyard, and as I listened to them crack and fall on the back deck, I have been wondering what my homeowner’s insurance covers.  My father-in-law who lived in a town hit by a similar storm a year or so ago, said he didn’t think it covered tree removal/replacement.  My policy is with Shelter, so when my agent gets power again and I get a copy, I’ll post it and discuss.
